QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
ODIN – FAVOURITE STANDALONE
Odin is the All-Father, the leader of the Norse Gods. He is the god of wisdom, poetry, battle, death, wine, and war, among other things.

For this year, my favourite standalone (aside from Les Misérables) is Sharon Huss Roat’s Between the Notes. Some of you may have already seen me answer a question in a tag using this book previously and well, here’s the book again cause yes, I love it so so much 😂
THOR – A BOOK THAT HITS YOU IN THE FEELS
Thor is the god of thunder, weather, warriors, strength, and storms, so his might packs a punch. He is married to the beautiful Lady Sif.
I bawled like a baby while reading Night Road by Kristin Hannah. It’s a damn feel trip (as long as you excuse the tropes and cliches and all).
LOKI – BIGGEST BOOK PLOT TWIST OR CHARACTER BETRAYAL
Loki is the god of mischief, thieves and thrives on chaos.
I’ve no answer for this one cause aside from Marvel’s Civil War (WHY ARE YOU SO QUICK TO JUDGE TONY, STEVE?! I MEAN, YOU TREAT WANDA LIKE SHE’S A KID INSTEAD OF A CRIMINAL AND I’M JUST GSHAHFKJSAHFLK) and a bunch of other graphic novels, I haven’t encountered a book with a plot twist/character betrayal that completely shook me.
FRIGG – OTP
Frigg is Odin’s wife, the goddess of love, marriage, fertility, and fate.

HEIMDALL – FAVORITE SECOND BOOK IN A SERIES
Heimdall is the god of loyalty, faithfulness and he is who protects the bi-frost, the bridge that connects all nine worlds.
Uhhh, I rarely read series (unless they’re comics/manga/manhwa) so I don’t have much choices, ahahaha… 😅
BALDUR – FAVOURITE MALE CHARACTER
Baldur is the beloved son of Odin and Frigg, twin brother of Hodor.
These four and everyone else in Haikyuu!! Seriously, everyone.
SIF – MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK COVER
Lady Sif is known for her beautiful golden tresses, although she is also the goddess of the harvest and is married to Thor.
Among the gorgeous books this year is The Bear and the Nightingale!
FREY – BOOK/SERIES THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
Frey is the Lord of weather, god of light, summer, master of agriculture, fertility, and brother of Freya.

The Legend of the Sun Knight series is the best damn Chinese novel series I’ve ever read. It had me laughing from Book #1 all the way to the end! It’s unfortunate that it isn’t officially translated and published in English, but I’ve linked the fan translations above so you can read them!

Freya is the goddess of love and beauty, fertility, war, wealth and growth, and sister of Frey.

TYR – FAVORITE BOOK WITH A BIG UPHEAVAL/EPIC FIGHT SCENE
Tyr is the god of war
Honestly, I’ve not read a single book with at least one fight scene that can rival the epicness of the ones found in fanfiction and manga/comic/manhwa. I don’t really know how to explain the differences but the latter are just better than the former for me.
ULLER – CHARACTER DEATH THAT AFFECTED YOU THE MOST
Uller is the god of death, winter, archery and hunting.
Everyone who knows me long enough knows that I’m STILL NOT OVER SEVERUS SNAPE’S DEATH UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH -breaks down into ugly crying-
NJORD – FAVORITE BOOK AN EPIC JOURNEY ON WATER/OCEAN SETTING
Njord is the god of the wind and the sea.
I haven’t gotten around to reading Book Two of this series yet (it’s been ten years, Aria, you should totally start reading it asap) but I remember super cool dragon ships and journeys to the realm of imagination!
VALKYRIE – FAVORITE STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER
The Valkyries, much like the Amazons, are strong female warriors.
I love true BAMF characters 🙂
AESIR/VANIR – FAVORITE BOOK “CREW”
The Aesir and the Vanir are the two groups of Norse gods, believed to be the old and new gods.

SEIPYRTS – FAVORITE SIDEKICK (NON-HUMAN CHARACTER)
Seipyrts is Odin’s trusty eight legged steed, yes you heard that correctly – eight legs. I promise that he is the god’s horse companion and not a giant spider that he rides around on… although that would probably strike more fear in the hearts of his enemies than a pretty horse does.
It’s tough choosing between The Sheep Man and talking cats but since there’s only been one occurrence of talking cats in all the Murakami works I’ve read so far…The Sheep Man it is!

I need to read Night Road. I love the author but I haven’t read this book. Been eying it for a while though. So it’s a huge tearjerker? 🙈😁

Thank you so much for the tag! I used to be a big Norse mythology nerd (I still am, just not like I used to be – when I was a kid I knew EVERYTHING haha) so I love this tag 😀

Bronwyn/Nate were amazinggggggggggggggg in One of Us Is Lying. I can hoping so hard that neither of them was the killer because I super needed their OTP to be the forever kind. XD Also, super agree with Civil War. The Deadpool graphic was so real. Wonderful answers, Aria, and I loved reading them! 😀

Thank you!!! ❤ AND YES, THEY ARE. We need more couples like them ashfkshdjdk I’ve never rooted so hard for a non-manga/anime/comic OTP in my life (besides Romione). I mean, I nearly chucked the book when Nate decided to be a self-sacrificing idiot like no boy, you do NOT break this OTP 😂😂😂

Haikyuu!! has SO MANY amazing characters!! There are a ton that I completely adore! ❤ And yes, Tsukishima, Akaashi, Bokuto and Kuroo are some of my favourites as well! 😀
I completely agree with comics, manga and manhwa having the best fight scenes! I just think that when it comes to fight scenes I prefer for them to be visual – so just reading about them isn't enough for me.

YES!! I just love how all the characters are portrayed well and that even the ‘antagonists’ are just normal (or as normal as they can be 😂) high school students who just happen to be in schools different from Karasuno.
And yeaaaaah, visual fight scenes usually come out better than written ones since they can have a multitude of details without sounding draggy!
